Think I've just about managed to round up all the photos that could be found in the internet from this event ;-)

Last Saturday I played in Moscow, for the Pirate Station guys again, HUGE party in a big Expo Hall in the middle of Moscow. Someone told me it was the biggest Expo complex in Europe. I believe them! Hungary was the day before, and I went straight form the gig to the airport in Budapest, didn't get to sleep till about 3pm when I made it to the hotel in Moscow. Woke up to the surreal rumble of the sound system warming up (hotel was in the same complex) and the first of many super-theatrical intros they do, really got me tingling! I'd watched Hellboy 2 earlier in the week, with the 'Golden Army' and man, it sounded like there were a gazillion golden army robo-goblins waking up and crashing about. Too much for my jetlagged & frazzled brain! Heheh!

So yeah, an amazing gig, I got to the stage nice and early so I could hang out with the other DJs and hear what was being played, and just take in the vibes - really good time. So yeah, thanks to all the organizers & to all my Russian fans that stayed right till the end to see me play at 5am! It really was special ;-)

Quick Blog from the airport!

Yes, I really am this mashed... Taken with webcam on my laptop at Moscow DME 5 mins ago...

Hi guys - just sitting in Moscow airport here waiting for my flight to Ufa - another 2 hours into the east of the country... Last night in Moscow was INSANE! Huge party for the Pirate Station guys again... Had a cool time, hanging out with all the other artists backstage, Goldie, Grooverider, Spor, Dieselboy etc. When we eventually got some alcohol delivered things got pretty messy! Hah!

Absolutely loved playing to the crowd - even at 5am the place was still rammmmmmed and the crowd so responsive - so thanks to all my Russian fans! ;-)

Didn't get much sleep though, only 5 hours tonight, and the hotel was still being built so was woken up by the sound of hammers and drills etc. So tired I just dozed through it though. Feeling the pain now though, Hungary on Friday night was ace as well, but I only had time for a quick shower after the gig and then straight into the car (with a non English speaking, but Tiesto-obsessed driver) for the 3 hour trip in the snow to Budapest, then the flight to Moscow. I think I've managed to completely destroy my body clock altogether! ;-)

Looking forward to the gig tonight in Ufa - I have a feeling its gona be biggg, and then reallly looking forward to getting home on Monday to see hayley, and get some sleep, and have some nice Grand Cru Chablis... Mmmmm

Yes, I DJd in a Russian Waterpark

Saturday was pretty wierd to be honest, but in a good way. It had been a heavy week really - did Cologne on Thursday, then London on Friday night, where much wine was consumed, then flew to Moscow for this gig on Saturday, then home on Sunday. I was actually in Heathrow Terminal 5 for 4 days in a row. They must have thought I was scoping out the duty free to nick some Chanel for Christmas or something...

So yeah, I was a bit daunted at the prospect of playing with electical equipment in a Russian Swimming pool (you've heard about the party where the ravers got blinded by lazers - and seen the photos of the flamethrowers behind me last time in Moscow). But it was worth it - I was literally laughing the whole 2 hours I was playing at just how random the situation was - if I'd known properly in advance I'd have been rocking the speedos too.

Gotta say big thanks to Mary and Max & everyone that took care of me, and Dimitri - good luck with the winemaking in Alsace mate!

So yeah, I was playing 2-4am in a water park, in the middle of a shopping mall, in the middle of Moscow - surrounded by people that would normally be full-on ravers, except they were in bikinis & speedos - but still dancing at full-pelt!
